No. 8 Georgia Southern

You were probably wondering when Georgia Southern was going to pop up, and they actually aren’t too far down. At first I couldn’t believe they were ahead of a P5, yet here we are.

This game is intriguing for a few reasons. First, this will be the first time these teams ever play. Anytime you get a G5/P5 team for the first time it is always interesting. The second reason is that this is a trap game.

Georgia Southern is not a pushover team. They finished 8-5 last season with their losses coming to Coastal Carolina, Army, App State, Louisiana Lafayette, and rival Georgia State. While BYU should beat them, it certainly won’t be an automatic blowout.

This game comes right before USC and if the Cougars get caught looking ahead, they may get hit in the face and not have time to make a comeback.

Throw in the fact that it will give BYU fans in the Southeast a chance to go to a BYU game and this game makes it pretty high on the list.
