5. Schedule

Some years there are some game announcements, but this year it was not mentioned very much at all. The only nugget we seemed to get was in an almost accidental announcment by Tom Holmoe while on BYU Sports Nation. As almost a joke, Jarom Jordan asked the annual “Is there progress with Notre Dame?” question that has been asked since the Irish cancelled the game over five years ago.

Probably expecting the “Nothing yet, but we’ll see” answer that has been given the past few years, Holmoe said that there are ongoing conversations with Notre Dame to set up a game that benefits both teams. While not a game announcemnt, this is the most progress we’ve seen this game make since 2013.

As a side note, the next available date both of these teams have is September 21st, 2024…So it may be awhile.
