BYU Football: 6 takeaways from Media Day
By Adam Gibby
1. The future of the program seems optimistic
In the first team and media event with almost no Covid protocols, it felt like things were really back to normal for the first time since early March of 2020. Players were interviewed by media members and there weren’t masks, social distancing or extreme other rules that athletes and coaches have been following for the past 15 months.
There was also a lot of talk about how much the fans help the team and how excited the team is to have stadiums at full capacity this upcoming season. Apparently there have already been about 47,000 BYU tickets sold for the Arizona game in Las Vegas with more than 75 days out.
Overall, while there weren’t fireworks or drastic changes, honestly seeing where everything is at with the program and how normal everything seems to feel is everything that we could have asked for.
