BYU Football: Where would BYU rank in each conference?

Sun Belt Conference

Likely Ranking: Champion or Top Three

Biggest Competition: Lousiana or Coastal Carolina

The Sun Belt in the course of about three seasons went from the worst G5 conference to possibly the second best. The Sun Belt is often referred to as a “coaching step” where promising coaches either make or break their future before moving on. There is not a single coach in this league that has been at their current school for more than four years.

Because of the constant turnaround, teams pop up and do really well for a bit before fading again when the HC leaves. For BYU this could be difficult to gauge year in and year out as in any year they would likely see three to four new head coaches.

BYU Football would likely be a top contender in this conference every year, but depending on who the hot team is (looking like Coastal Carolina this year), the conference championship would likely come down to those two.
