ACC

Likely Ranking: 5th

Biggest Competition: Virginia

The ACC gets a lot of credit for two reasons: Clemson and history. The ACC has teams with a rich history like Miami, Florida State and Georgia Tech. That is history however and not the present.

BYU would struggle to ever win this conference as they would have to get past Clemson either in the regular season or the Conference Championship. North Carolina is also looking like they are going to be very good this upcoming season and the preseason polls reflect that as well. The thing with the ACC is that it is a solid good conference. There aren’t a ton of great teams, but there also aren’t a lot of really bad teams.

With the grind of just about every team being at least decent with very few breaks, the Cougars would struggle to stay healthy which would likely drop them to top end of the middle of the pack alongside teams like NC State, Virginia and Boston College.
