BYU Football: How BYU can go undefeated in 2021

If somehow BYU Football makes it 11-0 or even 10-1 the game against USC will be BYU’s conference championship game. A 11-1 BYU Football team would in all likelihood be good enough to make a New Year Six bowl game.

Two years ago BYU and USC played a classic in Provo that saw the Cougars win in overtime off an interception. Clay Helton and Kedon Slovis will have revenge on their mind, and if healthy and truly motivated USC will be favored to win this game.

The problem is that unless USC is ranked in the top 10, BYU is going to be the more motivated team in this game.

If USC already is the winner of the Pac 12 North, there focus will be Pac 12 Championship Game and a birth in the Rose Bowl. If they are not in Pac 12 Championship Game, their motivation will be down as well. At USC it is Pac 12 Championship or bust.

If BYU is 11-0 at this point, even though the talent will certainly favor USC, the grit and motivation will get the Cougars over the top in another overtime thriller.

Prediction: BYU 33 Utah 30 OT
