8 – Secondary

The BYU secondary is looking really deep, but for the most part unproven. Many players like Max Tooley, George Udo and Malik Moore are all guys we know about and consider to be good players, but none of them are exactly Kai Nacua, Daniel Sorenson or Dayan Ghanwoloku, at least not yet.

The big positive that this position group has is depth. While there are only four defensive backs in on a typical play, there are nine players who have played significant time for the Cougars, something that is extremely impressive for any team.

In the limited highlights and reports we’ve gotten from the team so far in Fall Camp, the defensive secondary has shined with interceptions by Keenan Ellis, Hayden Livingston, Michael Price and Max Tooley.
