BYU would likely be able to keep Baylor in this spot and have it count as a conference game. I also think that the Cougars could get out of the South Florida game (currently a four game contract) since both teams will have played at each other’s stadium once. Finding another team to play may be difficult however, and the Cougars may just have to play their end of the deal here.
Baylor and Oregon would remain on the schedule as well as Utah State. The final game would likely be Arkansas, especially because that contract would be able to be upheld the next year in the early games of the season.
Boise State likely would be joining the Big 12 as well meaning that game stays on the schedule. Stanford likely wouldn’t mind cancelling their game since they lost their home side due to Covid last year. Wyoming, Liberty, Dixie State and East Carolina would all likely be left in the dust and the Cougars would likely have to buyout these games, but honestly, for a full 12 game schedule that is being redone, only losing four games is not that bad.
