BYU still has the offensive magic, it’s just not consistent

Last season, BYU seemed to be able to turn on the jets (no pun intended) and score points in bunches when they wanted to, and do so quickly. There were times during the Boise State, Navy and UCF games that if you went to the bathroom and got a snack and came back BYU had already scored three times. Even when BYU wasn’t scoring that quickly, they were scoring consistently.

Against Arizona, the Cougars had a few moments like that to close out the second quarter and to start off the third quarter. While the drives weren’t only 45 seconds, they were quick and the Cougars had a nice flow. If Jaren Hall and the offense can find that flow, they will be very dangerous this year against every team that they go against.

The key to success in finding the offensive magic again will have a lot to do with  the next topic, the receivers.
