The receivers are suddenly in trouble

Don’t get me wrong, I think that Chris Jackson and Keeanu Hill can be great receivers, but when the expectation was to have Puka Nacua, Samson Nacua and Gunner Romney the entire game with Talmage Gunther as a backup and suddenly all four of those guys are injured, things are looking less promising.

Neil Pau’u still had a great game with eight receptions for 126 yards and two touchdowns, but the Cougars will need much more of that if they expect to win games against better opponents, particularly ones that have great lock-down corners.

While Sitake did come out and say that he expects the Nacua brothers to be good to go against Utah, I’d be surprised to see Romney for a few weeks with an MCL injury and Gunther is out for the season.
