In the last month, it has appeared that just about everything has gone right for BYU Football.

BYU Football has had one heck of a month. Whether it is setting the college football viewing record at Arizona, beating Utah, getting invited to the Big 12 or beating two ranked teams in the first three weeks, it is an understatement to say Cougar fans are in heaven.

With all of that however, the next question becomes, has BYU already hit the top of the mountain? Is the hype train at full speed? Sure, a national championship or even a College Football Playoff appearance would top anything that the Cougars have experienced in the last month, but besides that, can it actually get better?

The answer is probably no.

As BYU Football currently sits at No. 15 in the AP poll, they are unlikely to rise more than two or three spots from here on out in any given week. They’ve risen 21 spots in two weeks and are likely receiving more national coverage than they will unless they break the Top 10.

Sure, the excitement will grow as the ranking gets higher (if it does), but as the euphoria of beating Utah or being invited to the Big 12 wears off, will it match the excitement that Cougar nation feels right now?

I don’t think so.

This may be it. And that isn’t a bad thing. After all, we are living in a literal storybook currently with all of the stars aligning perfectly for BYU Football. So rather than look for something more, something better or new, fans need to enjoy this moment, because from an excitement standpoint, it is going to be really tough to top.
