BYU Football will play their first true road game on Friday against Utah State.
Coming into the season, nobody would have believed me if I said that BYU and Utah State would be a combined 7-1 when they faced each other in the first weekend of October.
Yet here we are.
There are few teams that have played better than expected more than BYU Football, but one of those few teams that could make a valid argument is Utah State. The Aggies came into this season with a preseason expectation to win two to four games. Four weeks into the season, the Aggies have already beaten P5 Washington State, Air Force and North Dakota. Last week they lost to Boise State in a closer game than the scoreboard shows.
Long story short, this isn’t going to be the second easiest opponent BYU Football will face this year like we thought it would be just a few weeks ago. But how do the Cougars match up with the Aggies? Let’s put it this way, it likely won’t be a close game.
