No. 4 Production on Punt Returns

The Cougars haven’t really allowed a big play on punt returns, but they also haven’t really had too many great ones themselves. The best punt return came at the end of a half. The Arizona State fumble was great, but more of a boneheaded play by the ASU player.

While special teams doesn’t need to score a touchdown or anything, at least giving the Cougars a short field once or twice a game could go a long way. Always starting off at the 25 or worse is a recipe for not having a ton of success.

Again, the Cougars don’t need a 75 yard touchdown return, they just need to have some production so they have eight to ten less yards on average every time the offense gets on the field.
