9. team. 819. . 7-1. . Fighting Irish

Notre Dame likes to play with the luck of the Irish. Game after game Notre Dame finds themselves in tight matchups, yet they continue to win. Like Michigan, the Irish’s only true great win this season is against Wisconsin which may put some doubt in the Committee. The other issue is that Notre Dame has no opponents remaining on their schedule who are ranked, meaning it is a very real possibility that when the season ends, Notre Dame has zero wins over ranked teams.

. 7-1. . Ducks . 8. team. 820

Oregon started off the season with a bang taking down the Ohio State Buckeyes. Since then, the Ducks have sort of just survived in a messy Pac 12. You know a division is struggling when the second place team in the division is 5-4 overall.

Overall, Oregon has done what it has had to do to remain the clear best Pac 12 team, despite a head scratching loss to Stanford. The only question is whether the committee will see a crazy Pac 12 as a good competitive league or a struggling to stay afloat league. Given the non conference slate of games that went sour for the Pac 12, the latter is more likely.
