Oregon

Oregon has a very specific job to do and that is to lose another game and then go on to win the Pac 12, OR lose another game and lose the Pac 12 Championship game. Either way, for BYU to have a good chance at a New Year Six Bowl, the Pac 12 needs to have only one team in the NY6, and no teams in the College Football Playoff.

This scenario seems pretty likely actually as the Ducks still have to face Utah twice (in all likelihood), rival Oregon State, and a hit and miss Washington State squad.

As it currently stands, it does not look like the Pac 12 will have two NY6 teams unless the Ducks run the table before losing the Pac 12 Championship, in which the Pac 12 Champions would get the Rose Bowl spot and Oregon would get an at-large.
