BYU Football hopes to win their fourth bowl game under Kalani Sitake.

When the bowl games were released just over one week ago, BYU Football fans were left shocked and upset about their destination. Although most fans knew about the contracted game in the Independence Bowl, fans were still hoping for some kind of miracle either by ESPN bailing BYU out into another bowl, or even a longer shot of making a NY6 game.

While fans are still coming around to the idea of playing in Shreveport, it can be easy to forget that there are actually a lot of great games being played this bowl season. Rather than providing a list of all 43 bowl games (sort of 44?), I’ve done the homework for you to give you ten games that you absolutely should not miss.

10. Outback Bowl – Penn State vs Arkansas

Time and Channel: 12:00 ET January 1st, 2022 on ESPN 2

This game just looks intriguing. Arkansas is playing in their first bowl game in four years and the Nitty Lions are trying to savage a season that to this point has left them with a lot of “What if” questions. Penn State was one score away from beating Iowa, Michigan and Michigan State. Had those games gone their way, Penn State may be a Playoff team right now.

The matchup is also intriguing because of the coaches. Both James Franklin and Sam Pittman are two coaches who could be entering the coaching carousel very soon. Franklin has been a consistent great coach who brought Penn State from nearly the death penalty to a regular Top 25 team. Sam Pittman has brought Arkansas back from losing back to back 3-9 seasons to now a 8-4 season.
