1.  Independence Bowl – BYU vs UAB

Time and Channel: December 18th, 2:30 PM EST on ABC

Could you be a BYU fan and not put this number one? At the end of the day, BYU football is the most important game for BYU fans. Who cares if it is Shreveport, Louisiana or if they Cougars are playing UAB. A true fan will get more excited about this game than any other game.

Also, if we are being completely honest, UAB isn’t the worst opponent in the world. While the name is amongst the teams like Georgia Southern or Idaho State, the Blazers actually stack up pretty well compared to the rest of BYU’s schedule. While Utah, Baylor and Utah State were clearly the best teams the Cougars played, the UAB Blazers (8-4), stack up somewhere in the range of games that included Virginia, Boise State and Washington State.
