BYU Football will play a tougher schedule in 2022 than in 2021, and possibly ever.

BYU Football finished ranked No. 19 in the final AP Poll. This is the second time in two years that the Cougars finished ranked in the Top 20 showing that BYU is in elite company. Can BYU continue their success in 2022?

It will be difficult, but not impossible.

This season, it appeared that most of BYU’s P5 games were against middle of the pack teams including Virginia, Arizona State, Washington State and USC. They also played great Utah and Baylor teams as well as bottom dwelling Arizona.

2022 appears to be a season that will give BYU plenty of opportunities to prove that they are a true top 15 team.

Granted, every year there are always those teams who fall off the face of a cliff (Iowa State) or teams that show up from nowhere (Arkansas), but if things go as expected, BYU’s schedule is a really tough slate of games.
