Running Backs

Half Back

  1. Christopher Brooks
  2. Jackson McChesney OR Lopini Katoa

Fullback

  1. Masen Wake
  2. Houston Heimuli

The running back position is where things start to get a bit more complicated. The Cougars obviously are brining in Christopher Brooks to be a starter and major contributor. While at first I thought maybe Katoa or McChensey would be the day one starter to give Brooks time, I don’t think that will be the case.

As far as the fullback position goes, BYU doesn’t have a fullback in their plays per say, but I believe both of these players will be utilized quite a bit in the offense in different sets. Heimuli seems more of a big back blocker near the end zone, while Wake is a great open field out of the backfield receiving option/on the edge blocker.
