Most Competitive While Still Geographic

East: UCF, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Kansas

West: BYU, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Baylor, Houston, TCU, Texas

Splitting up Kansas and Kansas State may seem like an issue, but the Big 12 could adopt the style of SEC where each team plays an out of division rival every year (Arkansas plays Missouri, Tennessee plays Alabama).

This model would be interesting because it would be more competitive. In the previous model, most of the talent was in the South Division. To give perspective, the three worst teams in 2021 would have all played in the North Division.

This model would divide things up a bit better while still keeping clusters of teams together for the most part.
