Games to Keep: Tennessee, at Arkansas, Southern Utah

BYU has already agreed to play at Arkansas in 2023. This is part of a back to back series that will have the Razorbacks visiting Provo next season. The other obvious game that needs to happen is Southern Utah. As blue goggled as we like to be as fans, we can not pretend that the transition and depth of the Big 12 is going to be an easy transition.

The reality is, in 2023 it may be just good enough to get to a bowl game. And part of getting there may require the Cougars playing FCS Southern Utah.

Now to completely contradict my last statement, the Cougars have to play Tennessee. It isn’t every day that Provo has the opportunity to host an SEC program, and quite honestly with the Big 12 now taking up over 75% of regular season games, this may be the last time an SEC team comes to Provo for over a decade.

Fourth Team if Added: UNLV

UNLV would be a good fourth team to add to this list if the Big 12 goes to a eight team format. UNLV would be another home game and bring back an old MWC rivalry. It would also be an “easier” opponent.
