BYU Football is coming off back to back ten win seasons.

We all had that one birthday or Christmas, or even maybe just a random surprise that left us wanting and perhaps even expecting more the following year. Even though you knew that it likely wouldn’t happen, the expectation was already set and ultimately ended in a small disappointment.

I’m concerned that the last two seasons may have been that really good gift for BYU.

In no way am I stating that the last two years have been a fluke, or at least not completely. After all, it doesn’t matter what your schedule looks like, to get ten wins is very impressive and not easily accomplished.

But can we really, REALLY expect that again in 2022?

I’m not so sure.

When we actually really break down the past two seasons, BYU Football was handed a plate of opportunity and absolutely took advantage of it. 2022 may not have the same plate of options however. Obviously we don’t know what Oregon will actually be, or what kind of team Baylor will end up being, but based off of projections and what they bring back, here are some realistic expectations.
