What can we expect of Jaren Halll?
By Adam Gibby
Average 325 All-Purpose yards
Yes, the last page was devoted to staying healthy, but that doesn’t mean that Hall won’t have any rushing yards. With two or three timely called QB draws and a few scrambles per game, it is not unrealistic for Hall to pick up 25+ yards on the ground per game.
Even though rushing is a risk, it needs to be part of of his game. Hall being a running threat makes defenses have to change their entire game plan. We saw what happened last year when Hall wasn’t a running threat against Boise State, and the Cougars’ offense really struggled.
With a strong offensive line and reliable receivers, 300 passing yards per game seems very doable. Last season in games Hall averaged 258 passing yards per game. Without Tyler Allgeier this year, expect that number to go up to 300.
Another reason why this number should go up is because of the competition that BYU will face in 2022. The Cougars will need Hall to put up big numbers against teams like Notre Dame, Arkansas and Baylor.
