No. 3 Arkansas* vs Oklahoma State

Tougher Game: Pick’em

This is a really tough one to compare. Oklahoma State is the kind of team that can go 10-2 or 6-6 in any given season and it not make any sense at all. Throw in the fact that it is the last regular season game of the year, and the stakes may be high for both teams.

The original Arkansas game would have been the fourth game of the year after playing two P5’s and Utah State. It would have been a tougher situation than what BYU is actually getting this year against the Hogs.

Between the two, the Arkansas game would have been a much more difficult situation, but Oklahoma State will probably be the better team. Not sure a winner can be declared here.

No. 2 Tennessee* vs TCU

Tougher Game: Tennessee

This is a very interesting scenario because we don’t know whether Tennessee was going to come to Provo anyway. If they didn’t, clearly TCU would have been a tougher opponent, but we’ll assume the game would have been played.

Tennessee will likely come into the season ranked in the Top 10. Even with the energy and excitement of a new season, expecting BYU to pull off a second Tennessee win would have been a tall task, perhaps with even tougher odds than what Zach Wilson faced late in the first matchup.

TCU on the other hand is a complete mystery. They could repeat as the top Big 12 team, or they could struggle to perform well with a new QB and coordinators. While I believe they are still a Top 25 team, BYU has a bye right before this game which I believe could help them pull off an upset.
