BYU is having a blast in its first appearance in the Valero Alamo Bowl. Some of that fun even came at the expense of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.
In the fourth quarter, with the Cougars ahead 33-7, BYU linebacker Isaiah Glasker picked off a pass from star Colorado quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, son of Deion Sanders. Though it wasn't a play that turned the tide of the game, as the Cougars had already put things to bed, it was a fitting exclamation point at the end of a dominant BYU showing.
Thus, emotions were running high among the Cougars. And as Glasker got up from making the diving pick along the sidelines, he showed off his version of the Deion Sanders' celebration dance.
This season, Glasker made 62 tackles in the regular season. What's more, he picked off a pair of passes in his second season with the Cougars.
It was truly a breakout season for the linebacker. Last season, he managed to come up with just three tackles in eight games played.
It has been a dominant showing for the BYU defense. The Cougars have limited Sanders and the Colorado passing game to just 208 yards and two TDs while picking Sanders off twice.
Currently, the Cougars are putting the finishing touches on their 11th win of the season. They are proving to be arguably the best team in America that was left out of the College Football Playoff as they are dominating the Buffalos. It has truly been a night worthy of a celebration dance or two, even at "Coach Prime's" expense.
