3 Biggest draft busts in BYU football history

BYU has only had 149 players drafted into the NFL and only 12 players selected in the first round. So which of these players ended up as busts?

Shawn Knight was a defensive tackle who was taken in the first round of the 1987 NFL Draft with the eleventh overall pick. Knight spent three years in the NFL and spent each year with a different team. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints and played in seven games, only starting one, the only game he would start in his career.

After one year with the Saints recording only one fumble recovery, Knight went to the Denver Broncos where he upped his playing time to 14 games, but he didn't start any of them. Knights spent his third and final career with the Phoenix Cardinals where he played in only 10 games.

Knight wasn't picked up by any other teams after his time with the Cardinals. Knight went on to open a physical therapy clinic after his time in the NFL.
