Dennis Pitta may not have had the most stellar career, but the final year of his career is what most remember of him. The Ravens drafted him in the fourth round of the 2010 draft and as many people know, it does take time for tight ends to develop in the league.
Pitta played in a lot of games in his first three seasons even though he may not have started in those games. In his fourth and fifth seasons, Pitta dealt with a lot of injuries, but it set up his comeback in what would end up being his final season.
In his final season, Pitta played in 16 games and started 12 of them, He totaled 729 yards and 2 touchdowns on 86 receptions. Pitta came in third in Comeback Player of the Year voting that season. Pitta ended up retiring in 2017 after dislocating his hip for the third time in five year.
