Big 12 Basketball Tournament Dates, Location, TV & History

In their first season in the Big 12 Conference, the BYU Cougars are finally getting a feel for Big 12 basketball. Postseason play is quickly approaching, so here is your guide to the Big 12 Basketball Tournament.

BYU has been all over the top 25 rankings this season but has managed to not drop out, even with a 3-4 conference record. The Cougars can step it up in big matchups and do just enough to stay in the rankings.

With a little over half of conference play left, the Cougars are figuring things out and slowly moving their way up the conference standings. The Cougars currently have the NO. 2 offense and No. 4 defense in the Big 12. If they can peak at just the right time, they could find themselves in a Big 12 Championship.

Speaking of the Championship, BYU will have to travel to the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri for a five-day tournament from March 12-16 that could define their season.

First Round: Tuesday, March 12

  • Game 1: No. 12 Seed vs. No. 13 Seed, 11:30 a.m. CT
  • Game 2: No. 11 Seed vs. No. 14 Seed, 2:00 p.m. CT

Second Round: Wednesday, March 13

  • Game 3: No. 5 Seed vs. Game 1 Winner, 11:30 a.m. CT
  • Game 4: No. 8 Seed vs. No. 9 Seed, 2:00 p.m. CT
  • Game 5: No. 7 Seed vs. No. 10 Seed, 6:00 p.m. CT
