9. Bobby Hauck, UNLV

Hauck is one of a couple coaches on this list that likely has some fans surprised to see that he’s still employed.  After several successful seasons at FCS school Montana, Hauck was hired to take over the Rebels for the 2010 season.  In his first three seasons, he won two games apiece.  Luckily for Hauck and the lowly Rebels, they had a break-out season in 2013 that landed them in Heart of Dallas Bowl.

Hauck’s sustained success over 7 seasons at Montana have proven that he’s able to coach, but Montana is typically an FCS power, while UNLV has consistently been an FBS bottom feeder.  Before Montana, Hauck coached special teams at Washington and Colorado.

Signature Win: San Diego State, 2013

In the final game of the 2013 regular season, and with already enough wins to make a bowl game, many figured that UNLV didn’t stand much of a chance against an Aztec team that was 6-1 in conference.  Hauck and the Rebels came out and delivered a 45-19 beat down of San Diego State to finish 5-3 in conference.
