BYU football: Three takeaways from the Cougars’ spring scrimmage

This one is a little funny. For whatever reason, Cougar kicker Rhett Almond was running around with a jersey that still had a Miami Beach Bowl patch on it.

I don’t know if his other jersey was ripped, or if he just wanted something dry, but that was an odd look. You can see the patch on his left shoulder below.

BYU football took on the Memphis Tigers in the 2014 Miami Beach Bowl. The Cougars lost 55-48, but most remember the game for the horrendous brawl that took place after the clock hit zeros.

In any event, let’s hope Almond has some new threads by August.
