The New Patriots spent a lot of time working out with Langi at Pro Day. I was there to see it firsthand. One Pats scout led him in drills while another watched him from afar.

When the workouts were finished, the scout that led him approached him and spoke with him.

Now, maybe this means nothing. But a number of media outlets began claiming the Patriots were heavily looking into Langi.

There’s a chance that all the hype pushes Langi up too high for the Patriots’ liking. After all, New England makes a living from mid-round selections. But if Langi is on the board in the fourth round, I would expect the Patriots to pounce.

Why?
