Mangum beats Utah

The last time BYU knocked off the Utes was 2009. Max Hall started the game for the Cougars. Since then, four different quarterbacks have started against the Utes – Jake Heaps, Riley Nelson, Taysom Hill and Mangum. None had any success.

Mangum will still have the 2015 Las Vegas Bowl in his memory. How the Cougars nearly orchestrated a comeback after one of the most disastrous starts in memory. He has a chance to atone for the sloppy play then.

And he will.

In the slugfest that is the Holy War, Mangum and BYU football will finally get a win over the Utes. Playing in Provo will help the cause, and the Cougars will finally get the Ute monkey off their backs thanks to a solid game from their quarterback.
