A stout defense

Wisconsin’s defense looks a lot like that BYU football’s defense wants to be. Big up front, led by linebackers and athletic safeties and cornerbacks.

Wisconsin has allowed 24 points through two games (10 against Utah State and 14 against Florida Atlantic), and two of those scores came following an offensive miscue.

Teams haven’t really been able to drive on the Badgers.

On the season, Wisconsin is allowing an average of 95 rushing yards per game, 3.1 rushing yards per carry, 180 passing yards and a 56 percent completion percentage.

TJ Edwards, Garrett Dooley and Leon Jacobs are the team’s best linebackers. All of them are hard-hitting players that can stuff the run.

The Badgers, like LSU and Utah, have an athletic defense that tries to set the tone. It might be tough for BYU football to turn around the offense this week, just because the Badgers are so talented.
