Can BYU generate pressure?

The Pirates are 35th in the nation, allowing just 1.5 sacks per game.

However, at home, the Pirates have allowed 2.8 sacks per contest. Granted, a lot of that has to do with the level of competition ECU has played at home – but I think BYU can get some pressure generated.

Even if Fred Warner is forced to miss the game, I think we might finally get to see Sione Takitaki take over a game for the Cougars.

Not to mention, Khyiris Tonga (on mission legs) has been winning the one-on-one battles with linemen from LSU, Utah, Wisconsin… so I fully expect him to put a hurting on the interior of ECU’s offensive line.

Getting pressure has been the biggest weakness of BYU football’s defense this season. It’s tough to maintain coverage when opposing quarterbacks have a perfect pocket to sit in.
