Built Ford Tough

UMass quarterback Andrew Ford has played extremely well this season. He’s thrown at least one touchdown in all but one of the games he’s played in this season, has thrown for 275+ yards in five games and posts an impressive 17:3 touchdown to interception ratio.

He’s come a long way from last season, where he threw a whopping 14 picks.

Oh, and remember that one loss to Mississippi State? Guess who didn’t play for the Minutemen in that game.

Ford.

He appears to be a game changer, even if he hasn’t played top-notch competition. So the Cougar defense will have to limit big plays. And to do that, they’ll have to eliminate Ford’s favorite target – junior wide receiver Andy Isabella.

Isabella is coming of back-to-back 150+ receiving yard games. On the season, he’s got 51 receptions for 841 yards and eight scores.
