The Offers

While the Cougars have 7 commitments now, they’ve offered a number of other players. It’s a near guarantee that they’ll offer more athletes within the next nine months as well.

As of now, BYU has extended offers to 46 uncommitted members of the 2019 recruiting class. The Cougars won’t get all of them. They don’t need to get all of them. In fact, they don’t have enough scholarships available for all of them.

Those 46 recruits include one 5-Star player, twelve 4-Star recruits, thirty 3-star athletes, and one unranked recruit.

The players currently offered by BYU are:

Offense

  • 4-Star WR Puka Nacua
  • 4-Star TE Isaiah Foskey
  • 4-Star OT Enokk Vimahi
  • 4-Star OT Xavier Truss
  • 3-Star QB Cooper Legas
  • 3-Star RB Kyron Cumby
  • 3-Star RB Alphonzo Andrews Jr.
  • 3-Star RB King Doerue
  • 3-Star WR Jaylen Hearst
  • 3-Star WR Gaudie Campbell
  • 3-Star WR Demarcus Griffin
  • 3-Star TE Henry Ikahihifo
  • 3-Star TE Carson Fugleberg
  • 3-Star OT Ben Coleman
  • 3-Star OG Sataoa Laumea
  • 3-Star OG Elijah Unutoa
  • 3-Star C Logan Sagapolu
  • Unranked OT Brock Gunderson

Defense

  • 5-Star DT Faatui Tuitele
  • 4-Star DE Drake Jackson
  • 4-Star DT Siake Ika
  • 4-Star LB Joshua Calvert
  • 4-Star LB De’Gabriel Floyd
  • 4-Star CB Chris Steele
  • 4-Star CB Jeremiah Criddell
  • 4-Star CB Max Williams
  • 4-Star S Chris Adimora
  • 3-Star DE Troy Fautanu
  • 3-Star DT Suaava Poti
  • 3-Star DT Simote Pepa
  • 3-Star DT Reese Silofau
  • 3-Star LB Lolani Langi
  • 3-Star LB Junior Tafuna
  • 3-Star LB Miki Ah You
  • 3-Star LB Remedy Akoteu
  • 3-Star CB Cervontes White
  • 3-Star CB Keonte Glinton
  • 3-Star CB Caleb Roberson
  • 3-Star S Fabrice Voyne
  • 3-Star S Kaulana Makaula

Athletes

  • 3-Star Asa Turner
  • 3-Star Jake Bailey
  • 3-Star J.L. Skinner
  • 3-Star Falcon Kaumatule
  • 3-Star Trustin Oliver
  • 3-Star Zach Larrier

That’s a long list of potential Cougars. If BYU is able to secure commitments from at least a few more 4-Star recruits, or 5-Star Tuitele, this could remain a Top 40 recruiting class. Even if the rest of the class fills out with just 3-Star players, the Cougars will put themselves back into their normal recruiting ranks.

Either way, it’ll be a step in the right direction.
