Lawless Republic is your place for all things BYU sports, and here’s an introduction to our group of writers.

If you are reading this it is because you are a Royal Strong and True Y Rep’n Blue Goggle wearing BYU fan. When you shoot three-pointers you still yell “Jimmer” and when you hear the word hurdle you think of Taysom Hill, not a track meet.

As a BYU fan you want the best insider BYU sports content there is on the market.

You may have noticed new names on our site in the last two weeks, so we wanted to introduce the new and growing Lawless Republic team.

Adam Gibby: Adam has been writing articles for Lawless Republic since August 2017, but was just recently named the Site Expert. He has worked with four different television stations including KSL as a content producer, Sportsline as a sports reporter/anchor, and Spanish Fork High School as a sports commentator. Currently, he works for BYUtv as a production specialist and owns his own Jr. Olympic running club ‘2nd Wind Running’. He hasn’t missed a single televised BYU Football or Basketball game since 2008. Adam’s stories combined have received over half a million views and he will be beginning a sports podcast in the near future. Check out some of Adam’s work here.

Ron Jensen: Ron has been writing as a contributor writer for Lawless Republic for over two years and is most known for his position breakdowns in football. Jensen played football for Ricks College in the late ’90s and has now coached High School football for 13 years. He is currently a high school language teacher. Ron has been writing for the second longest amount of time for the page and his best stories have received well over 30,000 views. Check out some of Ron’s work here.

Austin Frost: Austin Frost is an attorney who uses his love of sports to preserve his sanity. He currently lives in the San Antonio area, where his BYU gear still strikes fear in the hearts of the Longhorn faithful. A father of five, his kids’ games are the only thing he loves to watch more than watching Cougar sports. Austin is not afraid to get his hands dirty and cause controversy on issues that need to be talked about.

Nathan Israelsen: Nathan is currently in BYU’s nationally ranked News Media program graduating with an emphasis in sports media. He is a sports anchor on BYUtv’s Friday show ‘Sportsline’ and is a basketball expert. Nathan was recruited by D1 schools and has experience coaching the sport at the high school level. Nathan is very detail oriented and does very well at connecting the past to the present. Check out Nathan’s first story here.

Ethan Fleming: Ethan is from North Carolina and grew up as a BYU fan. He is currently the co-host of the sports podcast ‘Flem and Lem’ alongside fellow Lawless Republic writer Caleb Leming. Ethan is known for having knowledge of all sports and breaking down plays and diving deep into the “why” of sports. He like Austin is not afraid to stir the pot a bit on tough issues.

Caleb Leming:  Caleb is a sports reporter for BYUtv’s ‘Sportsline’, is the co-host of the sports podcast ‘Fem and Lem’ and works at BYUtv as a Production Specialist in the sports department. Caleb is a stats guy on just about any sport. His passion is baseball but he has experience working with football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer as well. If you are looking for Olympic sports stories, Caleb is your guy.

We hope to gain your respect and loyalty as we do our best to bring you the best BYU content there is out there.
