BYU wins 4 or 5 games

Ugh…I don’t want to get into this, but here we go….

If BYU Football drops their home opener to Arizona and then Utah the next week, BYU Football will not be in a very good place. The Cougars will need to be at their absolute best to beat Arizona State, which if they start 0-2, they likely won’t. Suddenly BYU is 0-3 with four P5’s and Boise State still ahead of them.

We will still assume BYU will beat terrible Southern Florida and Utah State teams, however they will lose to Boise State. I don’t see a real way that BYU goes 0-3 against Wash St, Baylor and Virginia, so let’s give them a win somewhere there. That puts BYU at 3-6.

BYU will beat Idaho State but Georgia Southern could be a big challenge. Whether or not the Cougars beat Georgia Southern, it won’t matter since they will lose to USC in the season finale. That would put the total at either 4-8 or 5-7, not enough to make it to a bowl game.

Chance of happening: 7%

What do you think is the most likely scenario for BYU Football? Can they get to 10 wins or will 7-9 be good enough?
