BYU Football: Future games BYU would lose if they join the Big 12

Just when things seemed to get easy again, 2026 happens. The tough part about 2026 is that the Troy game would be a buyout game. Since the Trojans came to Provo in 2021, the Cougars would have to pay them. I also think that they have to make a deal with Arizona to not play in that game either.

Miami is just too valuable. The history of the two teams has to be played. This also leaves Utah State and Virginia Tech in a tough spot. BYU’s got to go with the Hokies though. Maybe BYU vs Utah State becomes a play twice in a four or five year span.

Quite honestly, for the first time, I’m starting to understand why Utah may not want to play BYU every season.
