Finally, a year where nothing has to change and the Cougars can actually schedule a few games they want. Since BYU Football scheduled all of their games in the past, from 2022 until 2027 most non conference games have been P5s.

I’m not sure if Fresno State will honor the game on the schedule, since the Cougars will have cancelled their game back in 2023, but for the time being, we will say that the Fresno State game gets rescheduled for 2028 and this game is played. For the final game, I think BYU gets an FCS team, perhaps Dixie State at the end of the season as part of an apology for cancelling so many games with them in the past. In fact, the Cougars go down to St. George for it.
