BYU Football: Way too early look at the 2022 schedule

Still Pretty Good

Last season, the Cougars played quite a few middle of the pack teams. This upcoming season the Cougars will play even more including Wyoming (7-6), East Carolina (7-5), and Liberty (8-5). While not P5 teams, all three of these teams are no pushover.

BYU Football should and likely will be favored in all of these games, but it wouldn’t be a huge shock if the Cougars dropped a game to one of these teams, particularly Liberty which will be played on the east coast after eight straight weeks of playing.

These games are the kind of games that leave fans scratching their heads and asking ‘what if?’ for the remainder of the season. Think of UAB or Boise State this past season. Okay stop, it hurts too much.
