I’m a lifelong BYU fan, a BYU graduate, and an avid collector of sports cards. In recent years, I've begun specializing in rare, autographed cards of BYU players in their BYU uniforms. Instead of just keeping these cardboard treasures to myself, in this video series entitled "BYU Cards Tell Stories", I'm opening up my collection and sharing it with you.

In this episode, I'm sharing my collection of autographed cards of BYU linebacker legends in Rob Morris, Kyle Van Noy, Fred Warner, Sione Takitaki, and Max Tooley.

Rob Morris - 2000 Sage Autographed Rookies

In five seasons with the Cougars, Rob Morris appeared in 49 games with 147 solo tackles, 90 assisted tackles, and eight sacks. He was an All-American in both 1998 and 1999, the WAC Defensive Player of the Year in 1998, and a semifinalist for the Butkus Award. He was a first round draft pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2000 and in eight NFL seasons registered 489 tackles and seven sacks.

Kyle Van Noy - 2021 Panini Contenders Legacy Ticket

In 52 games at BYU, Kyle Van Noy had 226 tackles, 62 tackles for loss, 26 sacks, and seven interceptions. His versatility is almost without equal in BYU history. He was a 2014 second round pick in the NFL Draft and has enjoyed a long, productive professional career. Through 11 seasons he has 541 tackles and 55 sacks. In 2024 he had a career-high 12.5 sacks and made his first Pro Bowl.

Warner played 49 games for BYU with 158 solo tackles, 106 assisted tackles, six sacks, and seven interceptions. He was a third round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2018. He has since become arguably the best linebacker in the NFL. In seven professional seasons he has four Pro Bowl and four All-Pro selections.

Sione Takitaki - 2019 Reese's Senior Bowl

In four seasons in Provo, Sione Takitaki racked up 143 solo tackles, 94 assisted tackles, and 13 sacks. He was a 2019 third round pick by the Cleveland Browns and carved out a nice six-year NFL career. He has 289 career tackles and four sacks but he's not on a roster heading into the 2025 NFL season.

Max Tooley - 2023 Onit Gold Blackout

Max Tooley appeared in 60 games over six seasons in Provo with 311 total tackles, three sacks, and seven interceptions. He went undrafted in 2024 but signed as an undrafted free agent with the Houston Texans and spent the season on their practice squad. In 2025 he signed with the Minnesota Vikings but was released at final roster cuts.
