BYU Players in the NFL Week 4: Puka Nacua dominates, Tyler Allgeier scores, and Kyle Van Noy defies Father Time

It was a great week for former BYU players like Fred Warner, Puka Nacua, and Tyler Allgeier. Plus a career milestone for rookie Jack Kelly, a concerning injury in Green Bay, and bizarre questions about Kingsley Suamataia.

Here’s this week's summary of former BYU Cougars in the NFL. Players are ranked based on their year-to-date performance.

No. 1 - Fred Warner, LB, San Francisco 49ers

Stats: 7 tackles, 2 passes defended

The 49ers got another win to get to 4-0 on the season, and Fred Warner was a big reason why. His seven tackles were second most on the game for San Francisco and his two passes defended led the team. Warner is on pace for yet another All-Pro season thus far.

No. 2 - Puka Nacua, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Stats: 9 receptions, 125 yards; 1 rush, 2 yards, 1 TD

After missing last week, Puka Nacua returned this week to help lift the Rams to a 24-20 win over the Eagles. Puka reminded the league why he's one of the NFL's most dangerous weapons with 125 receiving yards and a rushing touchdown.

No. 3 - Tyler Allgeier, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Stats: 8 rushes, 42 yards, 1 TD; 2 receptions, 7 yards

Now this is more like it. After getting just two carries last week, this week Tyler Allgeir toted the rock eight times for 42 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown. Throw in a couple of receptions as well, and a 50-yard outing for Allgeier should be his week-to-week norm.

No. 4 - Kyle Van Noy, OLB, Minnesota Vikings

Stats: 2 tackles, 2 tackles for loss

After an incredible game last week with five tackles, three tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks, the 13-year vet did his part again in Week 4. Van Noy had two tackles, both for a loss, as the Vikings moved to 4-0 on the season.

No. 5 - Khyiris Tonga, DT, Kansas City Chiefs

Stats: 1 carry, 0 yards

While Khyiris Tonga's traditional defensive stats aren't anything to write home about, defensive tackles bring a ton of value just occupying double teams and freeing up their teammates to make plays. That's exactly what Khyiris Tonga is doing for the 4-0 Chiefs, and he's even playing a little offense on jumbo packages.

No. 6 - Chris Brooks, RB, Green Bay Packers

Stats: 4 rushes, 30 yards; 1 reception, 5 yards (injured during game)

After getting off to a fast start with 30 rushing yards in the first half, Brooks suffered an injury and didn't return to the game. He has become an integral part of the Packers' offense, usually playing about 30 offensive snaps per game. Here's to hoping his injury isn't serious.

No. 7 - Kingsley Suamataia, OG, Kansas City Chiefs

Stats: Did not play, coach's decision

This is extremely bizarre, but Kingsley didn't play this week due to a "coach's decision." He was fully healthy, leading many to speculate there was a disciplinary issue involved. Weird, and concerning.

No. 8 - Ryan Rehkow, P, Cincinnati Bengals

Stats: 2 punts, 41.5 yard average, 1 inside the 20 yard line

It wasn't Rehkow's best punting game with a 41.5 yard average and the one kick that was fair caught inside the 20 was at the 19 yard line. His punting stats this year aren't as impressive as previous seasons, but the former Cougar is still getting it done for the 2-2 Bengals.

No. 9 - Zayne Anderson, S, Miami Dolphins

Stats: 3 tackles

After starting Week 1 and playing 53 defensive snaps, Zayne only played 13 snaps in Week 2 and zero defensive snaps a week ago. But he saw the field this week and registered three tackles. Interestingly, his three tackles came on four plays late in the second quarter.

No. 10 - Carsen Ryan, TE, Cleveland Browns

Stats: No stats recorded

The seventh-round rookie didn't record any stats, but he did play one offensive snap in Week 4, just his second offensive snap on the year. He is a regular contributor on special teams with one tackle on the season.

No. 11 - Jack Kelly, OLB, New York Giants

Stats: 1 tackle

Congratulations to the sixth-round rookie for recording his first NFL tackle! Kelly has yet to play a snap on defense this year coming into Week 4, but he has been a special teams mainstay and came up with a tackle today.

No. 12 - Zach Wilson, QB, New Orleans Saints

Stats: Plays Monday Night

Wilson is buried on the Saints depth chart and has yet to see the field this year.

Injured Reserve

Tyler Batty, DE, Minnesota Vikings

Brady Christensen, OL, Carolina Panthers

Practice Squads

Mory Bamba, CB, New York Jets

Blake Freeland, OT, Cincinnati Bengals

Jakob Robinson, CB, Tennessee Titans (signed this week)

Kedon Slovis, QB, Green Bay Packers
