The pipeline from Provo to the pros is strong, with 18 former BYU Cougars currently on NFL rosters. Here's how each of them performed in Week 7.
Tyler Allgeier, RB, Atlanta Falcons
Stats: 4 carries, 16 yards, 2 first downs
Ugh. It's so frustrating watching Atlanta force feed Bijan Robinson (20 more touches this week) while giving a few paltry scraps to Tyler Allgeier. When the Falcons face third-and-1 and need somebody to run up the middle against a nine-man box, they let Allgeier do the dirty work. He has been so underutilized over the last three years that if he were a car, he would be a 2022 Toyota Tundra with 20,000 miles on the odometer. I'm so glad this is the final year of his rookie contract so he can sign somewhere else next year as a the lead back that he is.
Zayne Anderson, S, Green Bay Packers
Stats: Entered game, no stats
Zayne had a quiet week as he entered the game in a Packers 27-23 win over the Cardinals, but he didn't record any stats. Anderson continues to be a key player on Green Bay's special teams.
Tyler Batty, DE, Minnesota Vikings
Stats: 1 tackle
The rookie is finally healthy and made in NFL debut this week! Batty recorded his first NFL tackle in a loss to the Eagles. His performance was not only memorable for that, but he got some national buzz for the way the Vikings offered him up as a human sacrifice to stop the Eagles "tush push". Welcome to the NFL, Tyler Batty!
Vikings DC Brian Flores may have FINALLY figured out how to stop the tush push.

He gets Tyler Batty to lie down, acting as a human shield to stop it, and ITS WORKED 😭

Chris Brooks, RB, Green Bay Packers
Stats: 1 target, 1 tackle
The third-year pro continues to play his niche role on offense and his important role on special teams. Brooks was targeted once in the passing game but the attempt fell incomplete. He recorded one special teams tackle in the Packers victory.
Brady Christensen, OG, Carolina Panthers
Stats: Started at guard
Brady Christensen continues to start, and the Panthers continue to win. The fifth-year pro had another solid game in Carolina's 13-6 victory over the New York Jets to get the Panthers to 4-3 on the season. Christensen has been dominant since being inserted into the starting lineup. He entered the week ranked No. 3 of 109 guards in the NFL per PFF, and played well once again.
Former BYU star Brady Christensen is PFF’s No. 1 ranked guard in pass blocking and No. 3 overall in the NFL at his position. He has been awesome for the Panthers this year. pic.twitter.com/dJi0Me1c2D

Michael Davis, CB, New Orleans Saints
Stats: Entered game, no stats
The nine year veteran made his 2025 debut last week as a new free agent signing for the New Orleans Saints. He once again entered the game this week but didn't record any stats. While it's fantastic to see Davis not only get signed to a 53-man roster and see the field, the downside is the Saints are 1-6 and might not have much of an incentive to play a 30-year-old veteran who just joined the team two weeks ago.
Taysom Hill, TE, New Orleans Saints
Stats: 2 rushes, -4 yards; 2 receptions, 12 yards
It was another bad rushing day for Taysom as he knocks off the rust in his third game back from last December's ACL tear. He now has seven carries on the season for zero yards, which isn't the norm for a guy who has averaged 5.5 yards per carry thoroughout his illustrious career. The fact that he's even playing is remarkable, though. Taysom will get things figured out soon enough.

Ryan Rehkow, P, Cincinnati Bengals
Stats: 3 punts, 45.0 yards per punt, 1 inside the 20, 60-yard long
The Bengals squeaked out a 33-31 win on Thursday Night Football against the Steelers, and Ryan Rehkow's punting played a part. He blasted a 60-yard punt at one point in this game. Rehkow is currently No. 2 in the NFL in yards per punt. The second-year stud could be positioning himself for a Pro Bowl award this season.
Kingsley Suamataia, OG, Kansas City Chiefs
Stats: Started at guard
Kingsley's transition from tackle as a rookie last year to a guard this season is looking like a stroke of genius from coach Andy Reid. The second-year stud entered this week as the No. 59 of 109 guards in the NFL, per PFF, which is just fine for a young guy learning a new position. Kingsley did his part and then some in the Chiefs 31-0 blowout win over the Raiders.

Khyiris Tonga, DT, New England Patriots
Stats: 2 tackles
Khyiris Tonga continues to quietly have a great season for the Patriots in his first season in New England. He racked up two more tackles in a 31-13 Pats win over the Tennessee Titans. Tonga now has 12 tackles on the season, a good number of an interior defensive lineman. He entered the week ranked No. 28 of 192 interior defensive linemen by PFF, and could rise this week after another solid performance.
BYU fam, this is my official Khyiris Tonga appreciation post. The fifth-year pro is probably the most underrated Cougar in the pros.

He’s currently ranked by PFF as the No. 28 of 129 interior DLs in the NFL. Having a great year for the Patriots.
