Here’s this week's summary of former BYU Cougars in the NFL. Players are ranked based on their year-to-date performance.
No. 1 - Fred Warner, LB, San Francisco 49ers
Stats: 13 tackles, 2 tackles for loss
While the 49ers lost their first game of the season in shocking fashion to the lowly Atlanta Falcons, don't blame Fred Warner. The BYU legend proved once again why he's the best linebacker in the NFL with 13 more tackles, including two tackles for loss. The four-time All-Pro is going to make it a fifth this year, provided he stays healthy, with 71 tackles in seven games, putting him on pace for over 170 tackles this year. Amazing.
No. 2 - Puka Nacua, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Stats: 8 receptions, 68 yards, 1 TD; 2 rushes, 10 yards
Puka was iffy with an injury coming into Week 7, but he took the field and once again did his thing. Nacua, as per usual, led the Rams in both receptions (eight) and receiving yards (68) and scored once in helping elevate his team to a 35-21 win over the Raiders.

No. 3 - Tyler Allgeier, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Stats: 8 rushes, 19 yards; 3 receptions, 30 yards
I don't know what's going on with Tyler Allgeier this year, but something's not meshing in his first season with the Arizona Cardinals. He came into this game averaging just 3.0 yards per carry, then fell below that mark on his eight carries in a loss to the Broncos. Allgeier's seven games with his new team has resulted in about the most unproductive stretch of his five-year career. Here's to hoping he rights the ship very soon.
No. 4 - Kyle Van Noy, OLB, Minnesota Vikings
Stats: 3 tackles, 1 tackle for loss.
The Vikings moved to 6-0 on the season, and Kyle Van Noy continues to help the defense get stops. The 13-year veteran now has 12 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks on the season.
No. 5 - Khyiris Tonga, DT, Kansas City Chiefs
Stats: 6 tackles, 1 tackle for loss
While the Kansas City Chiefs produced a dud on Sunday Night Football and lost their first game of the season, Khyiris Tonga had one of the best games of his career. The interior defensive lineman tied his career high with six tackles and a nice tackle for loss. On a night when most of the Chiefs lacked some killer instinct, Tonga balled out.
Former BYU star DT Khyiris Tonga (No. 92) bulldozes his way into the backfield for a nice tackle for loss for the Chiefs.

No. 6 - Kingsley Suamataia, OG, Kansas City Chiefs
Stats: Started at left guard
It was a rough night for the Chiefs' offense against the Seattle Seahawks as Kansas City produced just three points. It was so bad for Andy Reid's team that it was the first time the Chiefs have failed to enter the red zone in any of Patrick Mahomes's career starts. Sunday was a day to forget for Kingsley and his teammates.
No. 7 - Ryan Rehkow, P, Cincinnati Bengals
Stats: 4 punts, 46.0 yard average, 4 inside the 20
If you love good punting, Ryan Rehkow's Week 7 line is going to make you drool. The third-year punter had four punts and all of them were downed or fair caught inside the opponent's 20 yard line. And he still averaged a healthy 46.0 yards per punt despite needing to err on precision over power. Rehkow could be kicking in the NFL for a long, long time with performances like these.

No. 8 - Zayne Anderson, S, Miami Dolphins
Stats: 3 tackles
In a development to monitor for Zayne Anderson fans, he was inserted into the secondary in the third quarter after starter Dante Trader was injured and didn't return. This is one of the best games for the sixth-year pro with his new team in Miami. He continues to provide solid special teams play and can act as a capable spot starter should Trader miss time.
No. 9 - Jack Kelly, OLB, New York Giants
Stats: No stats recorded
Kelly, a sixth-round rookie for the Giants, saw the field again but didn't record any stats. The former Kearns High School star is a special teams mainstay for the Giants. He had appeared in 81% of New York's special teams snaps coming into Week 7 with two tackles on the season.
No. 10 - Carsen Ryan, TE, Cleveland Browns
Stats: No stats recorded
Ryan, a seventh-round rookie, appeared in his sixth game of the season and has primarily been a special teams contributor for the Browns. He didn't record any stats this week and is still searching for his first NFL reception.
No. 11 - Zach Wilson, QB, New Orleans Saints
Stats: Inactive
Wilson is buried on the Saints depth chart and has yet to see the field this year.

Chris Brooks, RB, Green Bay Packers (designated to return)
Brady Christensen, OL, Carolina Panthers (designated to return)
