Caleb Etienne crushed it at Big 12 Pro Day last week.
In the process he may have elbowed his way into the later rounds of the NFL Draft which takes place April 24-26.
Just how well did he perform? Take a look for yourself:
I know the focus is on BYU basketball right now, so in case you didn't hear Caleb Etienne absolutely DESTROYED the Big 12 Pro Day.

His 9.27 Relative Athletic Score means his athleticism is in the 93rd percentile for offensive linemen. My dude's getting drafted! pic.twitter.com/SQaOvRWx0R
Etienne’s elite Relative Athletic Score
One of my favorite tools to objectively evaluate NFL prospects is Relative Athletic Score (RAS). This metric takes the different results from the NFL combine and distills them into one score on a position-by-position basis. Comparing 40-yard dash times or bench press reps between offensive tackles and cornerbacks, for example, is pointless. RAS compares offensive tackles to offensive tackles, so it’s apples-to-apples.
Caleb Etienne’s 9.27 RAS means that he’s in the 93rd percentile overall when compared to the scores of offensive tackles in the RAS database, which goes back to 1987.
In other words, for every 100 offensive tackle prospects, Caleb Etienne scored better than 92 of them.
Etienne’s size is considered “great”, but that’s to be expected for a 6-foot-7, 328-pound tackle. His explosion grade and his speed grade are also “great” for an offensive tackle prospect. Caleb was particularly impressive with his 9-foot-6 broad jump (96th percentile) and his eye-popping 5.01 40-yard dash (93rd percentile).
The only area holding Etienne back from an all-time great RAS was his “poor” agility grade, including his shuttle score of 1.31. This lack of quick-twitch acceleration will undoubtedly raise some questions from NFL scouts who will wonder if he has the lateral quickness to stay in front of speed rushers.

Why Etienne's Pro Day performance matters
Prior to Big 12 Pro Day Caleb Etienne wasn’t showing up on any NFL mock drafts, this despite his elite size and coming off an exceptional All-Big 12 First Team season last year.
Eteinne’s strong performance at Big 12 Pro Day could change that.
Every NFL team needs depth across the offensive line, especially at tackle. In his two seasons at BYU Caleb started at both tackle positions and even played a little guard in 2023, so he's versatile. NFL scouts may look at Etienne’s size, strength, and explosion scores from Pro Day and consider developing him at either tackle spot or move him inside as a road-grading guard.
Before Big 12 Pro Day Caleb Etienne’s only realistic path to the NFL was by signing as an undrafted free agent.
After his strong Pro Day showing, he now has a legitimate shot at a team investing a late pick in him as a massive, highly-athletic offensive lineman with potential.
