Basketball is full of twists and turns, and BYU is no stranger to the unexpected. A shocking 84-63 blowout loss to Providence was not what Cougar Nation was expecting. However, BYU is known for its resilience and ability to overcome adversity. BYU has the talent and discipline to bounce back. Head Coach Kevin Young has proven he has a successful formula and has set his team up for success.

BYU has lethal offensive weapons and a strong defense. Egor Demin is lighting it up from three alongside Dallin Hall. Fousseyni Traore continues to dominate at the rim and on defense. The Cougars are lethal on offense when they get hot, can get into big three-point rhythms, and can pull away quickly. However, the Cougars are still struggling from the free-throw line and will have to fix it fast before they reach Big 12 play.

BYU is good, they really are. Basketball is a tough sport and it is hard to win every game. BYU has shown fight and they have promise, both for this season and the next few years. Dallin Hall's return has only added to the promise and his play has been a spark this season. There is high energy in this program, and they can only go up from here.

BYU is averaging 84.5 points per game, The Cougars can score. Sometimes the Cougars become too reliant on three-point shots and get cold, sometimes trying to shoot threes when they could drive to the rim. If the triple is not working then they have Fouss to dominate down low.

Fresno State has not had a good season. Currently, on a four-game losing streak, the Bulldogs are hoping to play spoiler in Provo. The Bulldogs do have good players with Zaon Collins leading the scoring with 14.6 points per game. BYU is going to have their hands full with him. BYU struggles with hot shooters, and Collins could be a real test.

BYU has a chance to run rampant on a struggling Fresno State side. However, the Cougars have to be careful, as Fresno will be hungry and could stun BYU. Fouss will need to stay aggressive on both sides of the floor and Demin and Saunders will need to continue their combined 16.3 points per game.

Overall, this should be a good win for BYU. However, nothing is guaranteed in sports and the Cougars will need to stay aggressive for the entire game.
