Have you ever read an article on this website and said to yourself, "Wow, these guys really don't know anything about college basketball"?
Well, now you can prove it!
Introducing the Lawless Republic NCAA Tournament Challenge, where readers and fans of BYU basketball can compete against one another for America's favorite pastime: screaming as teenagers ruin your hopes at securing a perfect March Madness bracket. The NCAA Tournament is the most exciting time of the year for basketball fans, and the anxiety is only magnified by calling your shot before the season.
Our March Madness group has just one rule: BYU MUST BE YOUR NATIONAL CHAMPION. This is non-negotiable.

Sure, you'll probably be wise to predict Duke, Arizona, or Michigan will be cutting down the nets in April, but consider, for a moment, the fact that BYU can still technically be crowned national champions.
Call me delusional. Call me psychotic. Call me whatever you like -- BYU is only out of the running when the final buzzer sounds on a losing effort. And that day is not today.
So here's the catch with the Lawless Republic group. We have just one rule for submissions, and one rule only: your national champion pick must be BYU in order to be eligible for the grand prize. That prize? A poem written in your honor to be published and pinned to the front page of this website, promoted on social media, and sent across the world via carrier pigeon (ok, maybe not that last one).
This is a real offer, and will be taken very seriously by me, Calvin Barrett, editor of Lawless Republic. I posted this on the internet, so that's binding.
