Week 6 was stuffed full of upsets and paradigm-shifting results that could alter the fabric of college football as we know it. That, or it was just a really fun weekend of football.
But suddenly, 6 teams in the top 25 and 2 teams in last week's rankings fell in their week 6 matchup, and I'm left in the aftermath looking like Wile-E Coyote blinking away TNT ash from my face. Vanderbilt took down a Crimson Tide squad only one week removed from a big-time victory over Georgia, and Tennessee collapsed down the stretch against Arkansas, losing their lead and the game in the final two minutes in Fayetteville.
Fortunately for many of our friends competing for a College Football Playoff bid, week 6 was a popular bye for a handful of our favorites. This upcoming week will be an important one for many teams' playoff hopes, with BYU facing a Big Noon Kickoff game against Arizona, a four-pack of a Red River showdown, and a new Oregon-OSU conference rivalry.
After a hectic weekend, it's time to reveal the playoff picture for week 7.
