In a game where BYU led for most of the way, hot-shooting storm from the Red Raiders was too much for Mark Pope's team to weather, as they hit 50% of their 3-pointers and Pop Isaacs had the game of his life, scoring 32 points against the Cougars. Sometimes when a team is hot, they're hot. If everything is going in, sometimes all you can do is watch the ball fly through the net possession after possession.

In this last game, BYU held a 48-32 lead at halftime and looked set to cruise to an easy road win. But, as I've said before, there are no easy wins in the Big 12. Tech came back into the game fired up and never looked back after taking the lead from the visiting Cougs. This game was a great learning experience for BYU, so I think that losing in the way they did was valuable for a team that would have to show resiliency to win some games down the line--most notably their recent comeback win against TCU. Texas Tech was the better team when it mattered most, but given the opportunity, BYU would love to even the score.
